Rosa Parks’ refusal to give up her seat on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama in 1955 – an act that led to her arrest and triggered the Montgomery Bus Boycott – is considered the start of the modern Civil Rights Movement.

Please join Assemblymember Eloise Gómez Reyes and community leaders as the civil rights icon is memorialized in downtown San Bernardino with a life-sized bronze statue.
