The Assembly Select Committee on the State of Hate Informational Hearing
The Assembly Select Committee on The State of Hate will hold its first hearing on May 2. At a time when anti-Semitic, Islamophobic, homophobic and racist behavior is on the rise, this hearing takes on increased importance. The first hearing, in association with Santa Monica College’s Public Policy Institute, will feature a panel discussion comprised of representatives from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the LA County Human Relations Commission, Loyola Marymount University's (LMU) Center for the Study of Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles Police Department’s (LAPD) Counter- Terrorism & Special Operations Bureau.
