San Bernardino – Against the backdrop of San Bernardino County continuing its efforts to reopen the economy, COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations are surging, causing the county to be placed on the California COVID-19 Watch List and Governor Newsom issuing new economic restrictions.

Sacramento – AB 2147, legislation by Assemblymember Eloise Reyes (D-San Bernardino) which would provide an expedited expungement process for inmates that have successfully participated as inmate hand crews (actively assisting with fire suppression activities), passed the State Assembly with bipartisan support.

Sacramento – Legislation by Assemblymember Eloise Reyes (D-San Bernardino) Chair of the Assembly Human Services Committee, to revamp California’s approach to early childhood education was approved by a vote of the full Assembly and now heads to the state Senate for further consideration.  AB 2581 would create a workgroup focusing on key stakeholder concerns surrounding early childhood development program administration and governance in the event that early childhood development programs see a transition in their administration or governance from one state entity to another
