On Wednesday March 14, exactly one month after the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Assemblymember Richard Bloom led California legislators in participating in the National School Walkout to remember the seventeen victims of the shooting and to stand in solidarity with students across the country fighting for gun control legislation. Flanked by staff and other supporters, legislators stood in silence on the north steps of the Capitol for 17 minutes, one minute for each victim.
