“As Chair of the Assembly Human Services Committee, I appreciate Governor Newsom’s commitment to tackle homelessness, provide quality and affordable childcare and to work for a better future for our foster youth. Our state’s commitment to our young people is vital to our future and I applaud Governor Newsom for his intentions to make significant investments into early childhood education and childcare.”

“At this precarious time, our state is navigating a combative presidential administration as well as an uncertain economic future. Governor Brown did a tremendous job of guiding California out of the recession and budget deficits and I will stand by Governor Newsom in continuing these traditions of keeping the state budget on solid economic foundations.”
