Attorney General Rob Bonta to Swear Asm. Majority Leader Reyes into Fourth Term this Saturday

The community-based ceremony will take place on Saturday in Fontana with former Senator Connie Leyva, KVCR as Master of Ceremonies.

FONTANA– Attorney General Rob Bonta will administer the oath of office for California Assembly Majority Leader Eloise Gómez Reyes at her Community Swearing-in Ceremony this Saturday, February 11 in Fontana. The 2023-24 session will be Majority Leader Reyes’ fourth term representing portions of the Inland Empire in the State Assembly, but this will be her first term representing the newly drawn 50th Assembly District. All legislative lines were redrawn last year using the most recent U.S. Census data.

                Other expected speakers include California Legislative Latino Caucus Chair Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes (D-Corona), San Bernardino Mayor Helen Tran, United Food and Commercial Workers Union 1167 former President Joe Duffle of Bloomington, Colton Joint Unified School District Board Member Bertha Flores,  Loma Linda Councilmember Bhavin Jindal, Superintendent of Chaffey College Dr. Henry D. Shannon, and a public official from Redlands.

WHEN: Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Noon – 12 p.m.

Assemblymember Eloise Gómez Reyes is the Majority Leader of the California State Assembly, representing Assembly District 50, which includes the cities of Colton, Fontana, Loma Linda, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Redlands and San Bernardino, as well as unincorporated Bloomington.
