Sacramento – Legislation by Assemblymember Eloise Reyes (D-San Bernardino) Chair of the Assembly Human Services Committee, to revamp California’s approach to early childhood education was approved by a vote of the full Assembly and now heads to the state Senate for further consideration. AB 2581 would create a workgroup focusing on key stakeholder concerns surrounding early childhood development program administration and governance in the event that early childhood development programs see a transition in their administration or governance from one state entity to another
Sacramento – Assemblymember Eloise Reyes’ (D-San Bernardino) legislation, AB 2276, passed the State Assembly with bipartisan support and now heads to the state Senate for consideration. AB 2276 was introduced in response to a State Auditor’s Report, Childhood Lead Levels: Millions of Children in Medi-Cal Have Not Received Required Testing for Lead Poisoning that revealed over a million children in the Medi-Cal Program have not been properly screened for lead exposure.

SACRAMENTO, CA – Yesterday, a joint hearing was convened with the Assembly Human Services Committee, Chaired by Assemblymember Eloise Reyes (D-San Bernardino) and the Committee on Housing and Community Development, chaired by Assemblymember David Chu (D-San Francisco), to highlight one of the most important issues facing the state of California today, that of youth homelessness.
