Sacramento, CA — Today, Assemblymember Robert Garcia (D-Rancho Cucamonga) was officially sworn in as the next Assemblymember of the 50th Assembly District.
The swearing-in ceremony occurred at the California State Capitol, with Assembly Speaker Robert Rivas administering the oath of office.
“I am deeply honored and humbled to serve as the next Assemblymember of the 50th Assembly District. I take this responsibility with great pride and commitment. I am eager to work with our local leaders and my colleagues to advance policies and secure investments that will better the lives of our residents and strengthen our incredible communities,” said Assemblymember Garcia. “I look forward to getting to work and ensuring that the voices of those who reside in the 50th Assembly District are heard in Sacramento. I’m committed to supporting policies that increase housing, address our homelessness crisis, strengthen our educational system, and keep our neighborhoods safe.”
The Assemblymember’s family attended the swearing-in, including his wife, Samantha, and their children Lily, Lucas, and Leo; his father, Roberto Garcia Sr.; his mother, Luz Garcia; and his brother Cesar, along with his wife Reina, and their children Jayde and Jordyn.
