“I am incredibly honored that in addition to recently appointing me as Assistant Majority Leader, Speaker Rivas would allow me to serve on these critical committees that oversee core issues impacting my constituents and the residents of California.
As a lifelong educator, I am eager to discuss policies that affect our youth and the educational system. I’m committed to ensuring our schools and students have the resources to succeed. Environmental issues, such as air quality in the Inland Empire, significantly impact our communities and residents' health and quality of life. I plan to use my role on the committee to help protect our natural resources and support our most vulnerable residents. Additionally, I recognize that the rising cost of living and increasing inflation are serious issues that our constituents want addressed. I will explore ways to advance policies that bring meaningful change while being a good steward of public funds,” said Assemblymember Robert Garcia.
