(Redlands, California)— On Monday evening, Assemblymember Eloise Gómez Reyes (D-Colton) honored 30 leaders under the age of 30 at her annual event on the campus of Esri Learning Academy, hosted in the tradition of former Assemblywoman Wilmer “Amina” Carter. Each honoree lives, works or volunteers in the 50th California State Assembly District, which Reyes represents. This year, her office received over 100 nominations from across the district. Honorees’ achievements included dedication to public service, the arts, community service, entrepreneurship and more.  

(RANCHO CUCAMONGA)— Today, Assembly Majority Leader Emerita Eloise Gómez Reyes presented a $3.2 million check to the City of Rancho Cucamonga for the construction of their 9/11 Memorial Park. The check represented state funding, obtained by Reyes, in this year’s state budget. Rancho Cucamonga City Council, as well as staff from the city and fire district, joined Reyes for the event.

San Bernardino, CA) – Over the past week, Majority Leader Emeritus Eloise Gómez Reyes (D-Colton) brought the 7th Annual Pop-Up Pumpkin Patches to elementary schools throughout the 50th State Assembly District. She celebrated the fall season with each school’s students by distributing pumpkins to our Transitional (T-K), Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) and Kindergarten students. 

The Redlands Historical Museum Association, along with the City of Redlands, gathered to celebrate $2 million in state funding for the completion of the construction of the Museum of Redlands (MOR), thanks to the advocacy of Assemblymember Eloise Gómez Reyes. The funding was allocated to the City of Redlands as a part of the 2023 California State Budget. 

Today Majority Leader Emeritus Eloise Gómez Reyes (D-Colton) announced that Governor Gavin Newsom signed into law eight bills that she introduced this legislative session.

“The bills I authored this year were introduced with the needs of our community front and center,” said Reyes. “From supporting our small businesses, to cleaning our air and supporting local youth, veterans, and seniors, I am proud of the work we accomplished this year.”

(SACRAMENTO) — Sixteen of Assembly Majority Leader Eloise Gomez Reyes’s bills, heard on the State Assembly Floor prior to its house of origin deadline, passed and will move onto the State Senate.

(SACRAMENTO) — In response to the housing crisis impacting California families, the Assembly Housing and Community Development Committee approved AB 653, authored by Assembly Majority Leader Eloise Gómez Reyes (D-Colton). This legislation proposes creating the Federal Housing Voucher Acceleration Program, which would offer housing search assistance, landlord incentives, and deposit resources to help tenants with housing vouchers find and secure rental units.

(SACRAMENTO) — Today the Assembly Natural Resources Committee approved AB 1000, the Good Neighbor Policy, which addresses the planning and construction of new logistics centers across California. The bill would permit local governments to approve construction of large warehouses and logistics centers of over 100,000 square feet when they are 1,000 feet from sensitive receptors such as schools, homes and daycares.

(Rancho Cucamonga)— On Thursday evening, Majority Leader Eloise Gómez Reyes (D-Colton) honored Women of Distinction from the 50th State Assembly District, which she represents. On March 20, local author Annette Chavez Macias was honored in Sacramento as Reyes’s Woman of the Year, recognizing Macias’s creative representation of Mexican American families in the Inland Empire.
